Kitchen remodel update

I'll try to get updated pics of the new kitchen in the next couple of days. I decided to go ahead and re-finish the hardwood flooring, and may do the cabinets as well. The floor is the same color, it just looks so much better and richer than before. I think the wood was faded from age. But, I'm still working on it so when I'm finished I'll update pics. :)

Kitchen Remodel

I'm starting on the remodeling of my kitchen and camera room now. I still need to get baseboards and doorframes painted and put back in place, but wanted to start on removing wallpaper from the kitchen to get it ready for painting.

I'm toying with the idea of restaining the cabinets and floor (floor is same color wood as cabinets) a darker color. I'll update here when painting is complete and have a vote on stain color for cabinets and floor. :)

Here are some before pictures so you can see the transformation. :)

This is the entrance of the Wortham subdivision, where I live. I captured this image in 2003 at night when there were no cars. The street lights created a beautiful tungsten feel. I decided to paint this in the impressionist style, giving it the impressionistic coloring, but keeping with the tungsten feel as well.

This was in my earlier stages of Corel Painter. The original was just an infrared image, and I took it into Painter and hand painted color to it.

Not my absolute best work, but it was fun and it turned out okay for my first try at adding color to an entire image. :)
